Emor - Leviticus 21:1-24:23
This week’s lesson again focuses on the Biblical idea of holiness. This week’s torah reading uses the word HOLY quite frequently.
We learn a good deal about the priests (ordinary as well as the Cohen HaGadol - the big or as he was more commonly called, the High Priest).
We are told to be holy (Leviticus 19:2; 20:26; 1 Peter 1:15) and a priesthood (1 Peter 2:4-5, 9).
We cover an interesting insight into Biblical diet and a vision the Peter had in the New Testament - an insight gained from the Torah reading this week.
We also talk some about the appointed feasts (Leviticus 23).
Listen to the class and let us know what you think. Go to our web site and look around - www.rootsoffaith.org.
Shalom
